Description: Shoei X Spirit lll
When going flat out on a MotoGP bike, you do not have any time to take care about issues with your helmet. This was one of the main targets during the development of the X-Spirit III. The helmet should be perfect for racing, and nothing else.
“X-Series”― SHOEI’s full face helmet for Racing developed through World’s Top Road Races including MotoGP. All of shell, shield, interiors and aero device are renewed by realizing safety in high level and utilizing most advanced know-how obtained from race support in top category. “REAL RACING SPEC” is truly brought into shape, X-Fourteen (the American name) / X-Spirit III (UK and Europe), the full face helmet to win races.
With the extreme ventilation performance and the highly sophisticated aerodynamic system, the X-Spirit 3 is your perfect companion to take the top place on the podium.
Top quality but noisy at speed
Great helmet, very comfortable and cannot fault the quality. Ventilation is excellent, because of this the helmet is a bit noisey once you get over 60mph. I wear earplugs anyways if I am on the bike for more than 15mins so not a problem for me. The most impressive part of the helmet is the stability, your head stays still no matter how fast you are going with very little strain on your neck. Ryan, SportsBikeShop customer
My new ‘Go To’ helmet
I have a bit of a helmet problem. I’ve been an Arai guy for 6 years, and collect the ones I really love. I have 2 Corsair X’s, 2 RX-Q’s, 1 Signet-X, and used to have one Shoei RF-1200.
The fitment was always small on the Shoei and had one hot spot, so I never gave it much wear time. I ended up selling it and bought this one to see if it had a better fitment. I wear MD in Arai, in every helmet, sometimes even having to beef up the padding, but I’m between a MD and LG in Shoei it turns out. I have a slightly long oval head, although still able to wear the Corsair X with no issue whatsoever.
The MD in this gave me a hotspot on my forehead instantly. I ordered the LG and got the bigger side crown padding – fits like a glove…a head glove of sorts. This thing cuts through the wind like a knife and is the most stable helmet I’ve ever had. It’s light and the downforce chin curtain combined with the aerodynamic design keeps your head from straining or fighting the wind. I’ll forever have an X-14 (USA name for the XSpirit 3) as long as they are available. This is truly my new “go-to” helmet. Plus, the Marquez graphic is crazy bright in person. Best I’ve had
Best helmet I’ve had, I’m Shoei through and through. I’ve got a few models but this one is by far the lightest, quietest one I’ve had so far. Immediately comfortable, and more vents than I can remember how to use!!! Slightly higher at the back so it doesn’t catch my jacket in the ‘crouch’ position. Love it. I would say well worth the price tag. Oh yes, better visibility all round, in the race position I used to get a little bit of intrusion above the eyeline with other helmets, vision with the Spirit 3 is great at any angle.
