Good fit and easy to operate
The HJC C70 is a snug, reassuring fit. Possibly a little too tight on the cheeks in comparison to the AGV K5-S I tested but after breaking the helmet in for a week now it’s perfect. The biggest plus points are the easy to use sliders for the vents and the drop down sun visor. The sliding action is super smooth and makes it so easy to get the sun visor down.
The sun visor itself is perfect. Quite dark and slides down almost touching your nose. In comparison, the K5-S was quite tough to operate and even more difficult to operate with gloves on. Also, the sun visor was no where near dark enough and it didn’t come down that far so the bottom of it was right in my eye line. The HJC C70 gets a 5/5 Sharp safety rating so this is a big plus at this price point. The colours are a great (pictures don’t do it justice) and match my predominantly red bike. No pinlock visor included so you’ll need to buy one separately if you want one. For the money I’m really happy with my purchase. David, SportsBikeShop customer
I wear glasses and love it
This is the helmet that actually allows you to wear glasses (for vision correction) with ease. You won’t need sunglasses either as there’s a drop-down shade, which is also super cool as you can have both eyeglasses and sun protection. Also, if you care about the safety, this is one of the few inexpensive helmets with 5 star rating with Shaft, which is more meaningful than dot or snell in my opinion. Nuff said, one happy buyer. Nice helmet with an attractive price
This is my 3rd HJC helmet after FG15 and RPHA10+. In my humble opinion HJC produces quality helmets at a fraction of the price compared to Shoei and Arai. It fits like a glove and seems to have similar padding. I haven’t tested it in traffic yet, so I cannot say anything about noise and ventilation. My earlier HJC:s had good vent but average noise reduction. So hopefully this one can match that. It’s not Shoei quality, but damn close. So for the money I think this helmet is a bargain.
