Arai QV Pro

The QV-PRO is nothing less than a sport-touring ultimate helmet. It features the also new RX-7V ‘s advanced VAS technology and even basically shares the same outer shell but with different ventilation systems. This rounder, smoother, and stronger shell with an intermediate oval fit offers the essential “glancing off” properties required for real-world impacts for superior helmet performance. The QV-PRO features the VAS (Variable Axis System) visor pivot system as the second model in line, offering a larger smoother and stronger outer shell area.

From the very beginning, the QV-PRO was equipped with the advanced technologies of the RX-7V as the ultimate all-round helmet but also adapting to the demands of the very large segment of sports-touring riders. The QV-PRO comes with the PSS visor as standard, the all-weather protection against fogging, misting and glare from the sun.

Great lid

Very nice usual quality lid from Arai. Sun visor is excellent with no noise when up or down, easy to operate when on the bike. Fit is comfortable straight out of the box. At legal speeds the lid is quite but above 75 mph there is noticeable wind noise around the ears, not great in my opinion for a touring lid but with ear plugs in it should be no problem and it’s much quieter than the Schuberth S2 I have. No annoying drafts anywhere else. Space for intercom is very limited but I got it in the end, you need to be careful not to restrict the removal of the side pods. To sum it up a great lid but not perfect but I think this lid will become a faithful friend. Phil M. SBS Customer

Narrow

Down here shops are full of helmets for round shaped head only. I begin to fear that I couldn’t find any helmet narrow and long enough. This one is a nice helmet for oval shaped head! According to description it’s the same shell as the RX-7V which is Sharp 5* so we can expect the QV Pro to be as good if tested by Sharp. For the noise, I won’t use it without ear plugs at highway speed but to be honest I won’t go to movie theater or concert hall without earplug. Phil, SBS Customer

Brilliant fit, with virtually no buffeting.

As a rule I don’t review: but this is a very rare exception because this helmet screams quality… It fits perfectly, the visor vents help demist glasses on a cold morning start, the chin guard measurably reduces wind and traffic noise, and the external sun visor works well, (but unfortunately can’t be lowered without the main visor being lowered also). But the best part is the perfect colour match to my Goldwing, which even non-bikers comment on. Richard S. SBS Customer
