Description: AGV Corsa R
Built from the same AGV technologies that are used worldwide on MotoGP circuits, this helmet is designed for daily racers. It’s ready for any obstacle to riding, whether on the track or on open roads.
Strictly based on the top-of-the-range PISTA GP R, this helmet has the same superior technical solutions and advanced racing features. The groundbreaking design procedure for AGV Extreme Standards provides optimum efficiency in terms of safety, peripheral vision, weight reduction, aerodynamics, ventilation and ergonomics. A 5-star rating from SHARP has verified the exceptional level of protection. The unprecedented comfort level is due to the patented two-sided liner, which can be reversed according to the rider’s season or personal preference. It gives comfort to the max, carrying the spirit of a free racer.
AGV Awesomeness
Spending so much on a helmet may seem madness to some but believe me after nearly 30 years of riding and using various brands and price ranges I honestly can’t think of a better helmet I’ve owned. Comfortable from out of the box with a build quality that seems second to none and features like the visor locking mechanism put some other ‘top’ brands to shame.
All in all I’d recommend it to anyone and will probably buy the same again come replacement time. Jeremy M, SportsBikeShop customer
Track helmet only
This helmet is track helmet and I recommend it if you do track duty, but for the street, and if I could do it again, I’d save myself a ton of cash and get the Veloce as it’s basically a street version of the Corsa R.
The size small in the Corsa R, is the smallest shell size AGV currently makes, and is the most compact low profile helmet I’ve ever owned (and I’ve got Shoei RF1200, Arai Vector 2, Arai Defiant and Schuberth C3). So size wise if you are looking for compact, zero bobblehead effect, AGV has it for you here (and with the Veloce). In fact it’s so compact, my chin rests right along the front of the chin bar.
Quietness: it’s a track helmet and it’s designed for someone wearing ear plugs. However I wouldn’t say it’s any louder than my Arai Defiant.
On comfort: It’s rather lumpy feeling inside, not plush like my Arai’s or Schuberth lids. So after a few hours it begins to bother the top sides of my head.
Field of view: .I really expected this to be a huge wide view like my AGV AX-8 naked….but it’s not. In fact I’d say it’s narrow on side to side, but top to bottom it’s got plenty of view.
Weight: It’s nothing special in terms of lightness, but it’s so compact it feels like you really don’t have any additional mass on your head, which is great.
Buffetting: It’s outstanding. In fact it’s as good as my Schuberth C3. Very little uplight at high speeds.
Style: This is probably the reason I got this helmet if I’m honest. It looks sick, I got the black with the gold visor and it’s sharp looking. However, both helmet and visor are unusually prone to fingerprints, to the point it’s almost annoying to me personally.
Air flow is pretty good. I still think my Arai Vector 2 beats it, but not by much. So good air flow if you live in hot climates this will be acceptable.
In conclusion, I recommend it for the track, but that’s it. If it’s street riding you do, get the Veloce, it’s basically the same thing, same size shell, same visor but will be way cheaper and more comfortable. Parker F, RevZilla customer
Wind noise is deafening
Quality of the helmet is good, fit is fantastic. very stable at high speed. visor and pinlock system is great. However for those of you that are sensitive to wind noise, this thing is loud. Looking back I wish I had gone for the Shoei, as they have a better review on the wind noise. I can’t give it a good, AGV should address the wind noise issue Anonymous, SportsBikeShop customer
