Great Quality Well Thoughtout Dual Helmet
Great helmet ordered same size as my full face shark helmet, large, fit was good but found cheek pads too tight. So I ordered next size down cheek pads much better now. Size 40mm came as standard I ordered size 35mm.Apart from that can’t fault. Not every one will have the same cheek bone structure. But at least you can alter to get a good fit. Well worth price, great company to deal with. Fred O, Sportsbike Shop customer
Good lid – Check fit
I’ve been looking for a Flip helmet for some time. I’ve got a wonky shaped head so can’t wear a number of the main contenders. Having had a Shark lid previous (FullFace) I thought I’d try this. Fit is good, but different to full face Shark, so if you can check in advance do. Also they’ve changed something internally so there is a little extra pressure on my ears somehow. Only down side so far is that the visor leaks. Adam, Sports bike Shop customer
I just purchased this and having got it out on the road, i quickly realized it has no peripheral view at all, in its open face position. I have to turn my whole body to look into the lane beside me. This is by far its worst feature. It fits very snug but is surprisingly comfortable, with the expectation that the imposing cheek pads will break in a bit. I like the novelty of the half visor which blocks the wind from my sunglasses, while still letting in plenty of air below the shield and sound from my bike stereo. Although not a terribly heavy feeling helmet, riding with it in the open modular position creates an imbalance in the weight, towards the back, lifting my chin.
The sun visor works great, but i would have preferred the slider to be on the side. Still, i expect that with the more direct connection that it will be more reliable, being on top like it is. The graphics are cool looking and are applied to the surface of the helmet with a thin clear coat over them. With the modular chin bar closed, which felt awkward closing while in motion, it really closes in the already heavy blind-spots in the helmets design.
The second least desirable feature on this helmet is that when the chin bar is closed and the half visor is lowered, the wind noise above 60 mph is horrendous, as it has nowhere to go with the chin bar in the lowered position. All in all i wanted to like this helmet. Coming from a Nolan, which has its own quality issues, completely loosing my field of view on this helmet is a deal breaker. AC, Revzilla Customer
