Roof Boxer

Great but not perfect

The Roof Boxer is an awesome helmet. But not perfect. It looks great, feels great. Very light but strong. Great vision while wearing it too. Spacious off the face compared to a full face, great for those hot summer days. 

Downsides: it’s feels and looks a little big, wind noise and a little too much airflow through the helmet. The roof boxer helmet is more akin to a open face helmet to a full face (more so than regular flip front helmets) it is great for normal cruising and urban riding, but if I am going to be doing any amount of motorway riding I will switch back to my full face HJC. Strange look

This is the funniest helmet I’ve ever seen. Quality is up there with the best. Very comfortable, the nicest materials, well priced. Fit and finish are flawless. 

The not so practical aspects of it: – Can’t be opened or closed one handed. Locking it on the move is simply impossible. Worse if wearing gloves. – The visor is also not the most practical to move up and down. – Not the quietest at moderate high speeds. The positives: – Light weight. – During hot days in traffic is great as an open helmet. – No chunky heavy parts on top when used open to drag your head back. 

This is not a ready, go, kind of helmet. It needs it’s time. Take your time, enjoy it. No rush, no stress. Not good for Rossi wannabes, good for everyone else. During a crash, face first, there’s not much to prevent you losing your teeth, not a racing helmet though. Charlie, SportsBikeShop customer
