Description: MT Thunder 3
Not much airflow
Helmet seems good quality in places, good padding e.t.c. but the lever to drop the visor feels cheap and flimsy. You also NEED to put a pinlock insert with this helmet as there is a la k of airflow around the mouth and the helmet steams up very quickly and you can’t crack the visor open a bit as it has 3 settings (1/2, 3/4, and fully open). With a pinlock insert the product is quite good but not without. Ash, SportsBikeShop customer
Fantastic helmet
I’ve only gone from a £40 quid cheaper helmet but the difference is immeasurable, absolutely worth not skimping on regardless of cheaper helmets functioning just fine. I aim to use this one as a preparation of sorts for the more expensive helmets – Pinlocks still aren’t perfect although having one is way better than being without one – as I want to be able to see well at low speeds, at low temperatures, in rain. If that isn’t a primary concern or you just ride with the visor slightly open, this helmet does all you need and more.
The speaker dimples are great and there’s room between the cheek padding and interior shell for a microphone to slide through. I didn’t get a size up and it was tight at first with the speakers I chose, I’d bear with it though as mine sunk in to the dimples and the padding has begun fitting my head. Cody, Amazon customer
Solid value
As the title suggests this is a very good helmet for the price. It’s comfy, good build quality, sun is effective as are the vents and and the strap is easy to adjust. The downsides are there is a roar at higher speeds, even with pinlock fitted there is a small amount of misting because the breath deflector is too short the latch to raise and lower the sun visor isn’t the easiest to use with gloves on. But overall I wear it every day without any real difficulties and its solid value for the money. Jason SportsBikeShop customer
