Description: Arai Chaser
Chaser-X is the third Arai helmet using the latest VAS (variable Axis System) technology that offers a substantially larger and smoother shell area above the SNELL test line, greatly improving the already performance-looking helmet. The Chaser-X uses a completely new ventilation system derived from the RX-7V, which can be instantly recognised on top of the helmet by the large single intake duct.
This Top Ventilation System comes from the diffuser system RX-7V. An anti-microbial fabric is lined to the replaceable interior. The Chaser-X features FCS (Facial Contour System) and a mini chin cover that is fixed and non-retractable. Even the chin vent is new, while the visor lock system built in Formula One is the same as the one used on the RX-7V. All Chaser-X helmets come with a standard Max Vision visor with a separately packed Pinlock inlay lens inside the box.
Quiet, comfortable, and would definitely buy another. But is not as good as it should be for the price. I get rain entering even when the vents are closed, the visor can be difficult to open with gloves on and the pinlock does not seal completely resulting in misting on the inside. I have had it checked to ensure that the pinlock was inserted correctly, unlike the older chasers there is no way of improving the seal. Rod G, Sportsbike Shop customer
My first Arai helmet, have been a Shoei fan from the get go, Kinda expected more, its good but it’s not as good as i hoped it will be. Sizing was spot on. Nissan N, Sportsbike Shop customer
Always rely on an Arai to fit
This is my fourth Arai helmet. I have tried other brands but keep coming back as the fit is so dependable. The black yellow chaser X looks great. It has a Matt finish which is not mentioned in the description but I like it. The new visor removal system is still a little fiddly and can be very difficult to open from locked. I actually liked the old much criticised system but we will see if this one gets better as I get more used to it. I fitted a Sena speaker comms system easily. Plenty space for the speakers in the cheek pad recess. Negative points – the helmet is slightly heavier than my old Chaser. It’s also slightly noisier, similar to my RX7. Still extremely comfortable and dependable. I love my Arai’s. Davie H, Sportsbike Shop customer
